Meet the makers/shakers of sustainable design in Brussels

Blank wants to create a platform among dynamic actors of the built environment in Brussels where they can meet and exchange ideas or experience. Our key objective is to elevate the debate on sustainable architecture and act as a catalyst for creative initiatives in this field. As young designers, we believe that celebrating together the quality work being done is the best way to contribute to the creation of a sustainable design culture in Brussels.
Through exclusive visits and talks selected by us, our members get the opportunity to take a step back, start fresh and reflect together upon inventive ways to implement durability in our daily work. Our aspiration is that these shared moments will create a network to bridge the traditional gap between the diverse fields involved.
At Blank, we love the idea of the current generation gradually building its own new space from a blank one.
Blank is an initiative from two long-time friends, Louise et Thomas.
Louise is an architectural engineer based in Brussels. Following a previous experience at MDW, Louise works at DDS+ and as self-employed. Thomas is a structural engineer. After 5 years in London working for Arup and AKTII, Thomas works now at Ney & Partners also in Brussels.
We share a passion for the synergy that exists between integrated multidisciplinary design and the current sustainable challenge that the construction industry faces.
Always eager to promote new dynamics in our hometown of Brussels, Louise organised the Career Nights in collaboration with Service A and we organised together Architechnics, a series of lectures about integrated design in Belgium.
